In this assignment, you'll be working with audio equipment to get more hands on with microphones, mixers, and more. The goal is to be able to set up audio for a live broadcast or a recorded broadcast.

Group Size: 1-2 people

For this assignment, you are expected to complete the following things:

• Watch the below videos

• Set up a simple PA system with a microphone and audio input from a laptop of phone for music. You could also set up a projector so that you have a computer video, computer audio, and a microphone.

• (optional) Play "DJ for the day" where you use the cafeteria PA or an in class PA to play DJ for a lunch hour or class period. This will include a microphone to introduce songs or close out songs. Be sure all music is school appropriate in content and theme.

• Adjust a live setup to include different types of microphones. Try with a lapel microphone that feeds into a mixer. Try it with a wireless lapel microphone.

• With your partner, record a rough video (limited editing) showing how a mixer can be set up and used for a live audio setup.

• Submit your video and do the live DJ piece for your teacher for assessment.

To turn in this assignment you will go to the assignment on Google Classroom and you can select to upload a file and upload the video you took of your audio setup.
